This aluminum cover plate fills the void in the slide when not using a Trijicon RMR on your Brownell's slide. Compatible ONLY with Brownell's RMR cut slides.
This plate will be Anodized Black.
THIS IS A "NEW STYLE" PLATE!
NEW STYLE vs OLD STYLE:
NEW STYLE Brownells slides feature a deep top edge chamfer. The top edge on these slides is different than the front and rear slide edge geometry. To our knowledge, all RMR cut slides shipped from Brownells starting in NOVEMBER 2017 going forward will be the NEW STYLE.
OLD STYLE Brownells slides feature a top edge chamfer that is identical to the front and rear slide edge geometry, this gives the slide a "blocky" appearance. If you purchased your Brownells slide prior to NOVEMBER 2017, there is a chance you have the OLD STYLE slide, but it is possible you received a NEW STYLE.
HOW TO KNOW FOR SURE: Please compare the TOP EDGE of YOUR SLIDE to the pictures of this product to determine which style RMR Cover Plate you will need. Please note that the pictures on Brownell's website may not be updated to reflect your specific slide geometry!

Awesome product! Glad I purchased. Perfect fitment and tolerances for the Brownells slide.
Only complaint is the color is a bit off from the slide but as with all finishes on aluminum vs steel that's to be expected.

Very nice match to Brownells slide
The fit of this cover plate to the slide is awesome. I would like to see the serrations on the slide continued on the edges of the cover plate and the Maple Leaf logo on top. The black color is not an exact match, but still nice. I was surprised to find this project and for it to be made in Celina! I grew up in Altona so I was glad to keep it local.

RMR Cover Plate - Black - Brownells
The Maple Lead RMR Cover Plate in black is great. Very well machined and a drop in fit for the newer style gen3 slides made by Brownells. Only complaint is the high price tag for a metal bit with two holes. However, as I mentioned it was very well machined. If they can get the costs of production down to result in a product about $10 less than the current retail this would be a 5 star review. Either way I don't regret the purchase.
