Glock Optic Cut - Trijicon SRO/RMR HD

Excellent work. Good turn-around, no concerns about quality of machining or finish (I chose a stonewashed nitride). The pocket is pretty deep and it looks like I might be able to get away with a .260 front sight. Because of a pocket depth the right screw protrudes slightly into the plunger channel but it doesn't affect the function once plunger is installed. The options are to install plunger first, screw second, or simply have screw shortened.
I would use Maple Leaf FA again, and I would recommend them to others.

I was fortunate enough to get in on the July 4th sale. I sent my slide in 3 weeks later and received it back last week. Turn around time was a little on the long side just for the optic and nitride however John stayed in communication with me and kept me informed. Everyone gets busy over the summer months so the turnaround was acceptable in my eyes. Once I received the slide back in hand I was elated by the work done. The RMR cut is fantastic and the fit is snug. Impressive considering it’s a generic mill for the optic.

In review I wouldn’t hesitate to work with John again and am kicking myself for not having more Mill work done when there.

Slide cut for RMR on my Glock 19 Gen 5. Cut was very snug & fit was perfect. Good cowitness with Ameriglo night suppressor sights purchased & installed by Maple Leaf.

Truly great craftsmanship and fitment. Got both an RMR cut and front slide serrations on a Gen 5 G19. Slide came back spotless and fitment of the RMR was excellent. Front serrations help for press checks and overall handling. Turn-around time was less than a month. Highly recommend Maple Leaf for all your slide milling needs!

The fitment is almost tight, I had to press in the optic even otherwise it bound up. The machine work was exelent. Co witnessed with Ameriglo blacked out suppressor sights.

John is terrific at customer service. Workmanship is impressive. Quick turn around and cost reasonable.

This was my first ever slide cut and it was on my EDC G26 so I had some self-inflicted anxiety. John was great and responded to all of my emails and answered all of my questions. I can't say anything less than he was a great guy to work with and he exhibited great patience with me.

There was a bit of a hold up completing the cut related to the Memorial Day holiday but that's to be expected (I wouldn't demand or expect anyone to work through a holiday just because I'm impatient or didn't look ahead on the calendar). Holidays are something to keep in mind during the timeline when you send out your slide to Maple Leaf.

When I got the slide back it was packaged safely in bubble wrap. The RMR fit like a glove and John provided the appropriate mounting screws with the slide. One thing to note which might be unique to my choice of sights...I have Ameriglo Pro I Dot sights on my G26 and with the RMR mounted I do have access to the front sight over the base of the RMR and in line with the rear notch. It's a millimeter or two but it is adequate for use as back up sights in my opinion. No, not as high as suppressor height sights, but good for BUS and it keeps me from investing in additional sights and in the same holster.

I've only put about a hundred rounds through the gun since it was cut/mounted but everything is flawless so far and I don't expect that to change.

When I'm ready to cut my G21 I'll turn to John to do the work!

Maple Leaf is top notch. I am very pleased with the machining black nitride finishing. Their customer support is top notch as well. They answered all of my questions and replied to my status update emails almost instantly.
If you are on the fence about setting your slide off to get milled (which I was) I highly recommended Maple Leaf . I will be sending you another slide in the future.
